Overnight pet sitting suits pets who do best sleeping in their own home, on their own schedule, with a caregiver present rather than being left alone or moved somewhere new. It's a good fit for dogs and other pets who are comfortable with a person in the house overnight but don't require someone within arm's reach at all times.
What this care involves
A caregiver arrives in the evening and stays through the night, generally departing the following morning. A typical overnight includes feeding, fresh water, evening and morning walks or potty breaks, medication if authorized, play and companionship, and light agreed household tasks such as mail, trash, or lights. Overnight care means a caregiver present for the majority of the booking — it is not uninterrupted 24-hour supervision. Unless Constant Care is booked, pets are not ordinarily left alone for more than four consecutive hours during an overnight stay.
Shaped around your pet
Feeding times, walk routines, medication schedules, and bedtime habits are followed as closely as practical. An exact arrival or departure time can be arranged as an approved add-on when your schedule requires it. Enrichment activities can be added to any overnight stay.
How updates work
Your caregiver sends photo or video updates through your agreed communication channel, generally at a reasonable daily cadence for overnight bookings.
How to prepare
Before your caregiver's first night, confirm your travel dates, update feeding and medication instructions, leave enough supplies plus a buffer, test a backup entry method, disclose any cameras or expected visitors, and confirm your veterinarian and emergency contacts.

Overnight Pet Sitting FAQs
Is my pet supervised for the entire night?
A caregiver is present for the majority of the overnight booking, but this is not the same as continuous, uninterrupted supervision. As a general practice, pets are not left alone for more than four consecutive hours during an overnight stay. If your pet cannot safely be left alone at all, ask about Constant Care instead.
Can I request an exact arrival or departure time?
Most overnight visits happen within a reasonable window. An exact time can be arranged in writing as an approved add-on when your situation calls for it.
Will the same caregiver stay every time?
We make every reasonable effort to assign a familiar caregiver so your pet builds a real bond. Availability, emergencies, or scheduling may occasionally require a qualified backup.
